Access to natural environments has proven benefits for mental wellbeing and physical health. We’re very lucky at the JCB World Headquarters to have a beautiful large lake supporting diverse bird and insect life, and which employees and the public can all enjoy. In fact, every JCB facility has a lake on-site to help us manage drainage sustainably, and to provide habitats for a variety of wildlife.
When we developed our quarry test facility, we went to great lengths to build the very best machine test area we could, whilst enhancing habitats for local badger and Great Crested Newt populations. At our World Logistics facility, we’ve installed special fencing to guide migrating newts (both common and Great Crested) safely between local water habitats.
Because we understand the importance of protecting water courses, we actively support customers to safeguard them too. We can supply biodegradable oil for machines allocated to watercourse projects or, for that matter, other natural environments needing high levels of protection.
