JCB India initiatives

JCB India factories help feeding the most vulnerable communities in the areas around the 3 plants. The teams based in the 3 factory plants in Ballabhgarh, Jaipur and Pune have started daily food supply programs, to feed the vulnerable communities and stranded migrants identified in the local areas. The meal preparations and distribution are being conducted in Covid-19 safe way to ensure the safety of all personnel involved.

JCB Ballabhgarh

Ten areas were identified in a 3-10km radius around the plant. A volunteer team from JCB, along with the canteen staff, are making 2,000 meals per day and distributing them. The teams are supplying meal packets containing Poori/Roti, dry Sibji and one sweet to each person.

JCB Jaipur

Ten villages have been identified in areas ranging between 3-9km from the JCB factory. A total of 1,300 meals are being prepared daily by the canteen staff and distributed by JCB and Lady Bamford Charitable Trust personnel. The scheme is called “Annapurna Drive”.

JCB Pune

The Pune factory team have launched the food scheme under the banner of The JCB Samarpan Initiative  - to support migrant workers, elderly, differently abled and tribal communities in the areas around the plant. Two meals a day are being supplied from 31st March onwards during the lockdown period.
