Since 2010, we’ve delivered fuel efficiency innovations across our range. From Auto Idle to JCB TorqueLock, through to our Fastracs’ GPS Autosteer and Constantly Variable Transmissions, we’ve helped reduce not only our customers’ fuel bills, but the environmental impact of our machines too.
BETWEEN 2010 AND 2017 WE REDUCED OUR MACHINES’ CO2 EMISSIONS BY 43%
Constant improvement requires great attention to detail. Our engineers have gone as far as using geotechnical research from Harper Adams University to redesigning the shape of the buckets on our excavators and backhoe loaders, delivering a 3% improvement in fuel efficiency against previous buckets in the process.
The overall effect of our fuel efficiency innovations has been striking. Between 2010 and 2018, we’ve helped save approximately 2.5 billion litres of diesel fuel, and reduced our machines’ CO2 emissions by 43%.
