As a large global manufacturing company, we rely on a complex supply chain. And there are lots of exciting opportunities to really drive our environmental agenda forwards with our suppliers. For example, we’ve been working with suppliers to trial new low-solvent paints, and to understand potential applications for biodegradable and long-life oils.
Working with our supply chain is essential to understanding the environmental impact of our machines throughout the cycles of manufacture, use and ultimate disposal. For example, the task of eliminating hazardous materials from our supply chain will be ongoing for a number of years. We rely on our suppliers to help us with this by providing full, accurate information on parts and products we buy in.
OUR CODE OF CONDUCT MEANS MAKING A POSITIVE COMMITMENT TO SUSTAINABILITY
To make sure we’re working with great suppliers, we also require them to sign up to our Code of Conduct. This means making a positive commitment to sustainability, environmental responsibility, ethical practices, good social standards, and legal compliance.
